Knelson - Community Commitment

The Knelson team participates in ongoing fundraising for the B.C. Children's Hospital. Fundraising events include 50/50 draws, staff barbeques, raffles and numerous company sponsored events throughout the year.

The 2009 Mining for Miracles (MFM) campaign ended this year on another high note. The Knelson team raised a total of $8,506, while Knelson vendors contributed an additional $7,650. The funds raised by Knelson employees and vendors were pooled together with fundraising dollars from the BC Mining Community which was presented during the BC Miracle Weekend Telethon. This year's telethon, held June 6th & 7th raised an amazing $15.3 Million for the BC Children's Hospital.

"In all respects this was a remarkable feat with the current state of the world economy and a marvelous tribute to the "Super Heroes" donating their time, efforts, and money to this worthy cause." stated Leslie Moore, Knelson's Mining for Miracles campaign manager. 

Back at Knelson, our 14th Annual Bocce Tournament  and BBQ kicked off our 2010 Mining for Miracles fund raising campaign. Not even a torrential downpour could dampen the spirits of the participants or the employees cheering on their favourites!
